Leading Effective Teams
If I were a part of a team, I would be an asset and lead a highly effective team. Given my strengths, I would be more of an influencer and executer, rather than a strategic thinker or relationship builder. In a team setting, I would give uncompromising honesty, integrity, and commitment to doing the right thing. I am a very task-focused, no-nonsense communicator. Therefore, I would be very beneficial during the Forming and Performing stages. Though I may be known to be more of a relationship-based leader, in a group setting, I can take a direction, follow-through, and make the corrections necessary to stay on track.
When trying to enable others, I try to remember I can't do it alone and that I need partners to make extraordinary things happen. Therefore, in a group setting, I try focusing on creating trustworthy relationships and building a spirited and cohesive team. I want to make others feel strong, capable, and confident to take initiative and responsibility. A good leader looks toward the future. They imagine what can be. They have a sense of what is uniquely possible if everyone works together for a common purpose. As a leader, I enable others by helping others see the exciting future possibilities. I communicate hopes and dreams so that others clearly understand and share them as their own. When trying to find a common purpose, it’s important to listen deeply to others. When trying to imagine the possibilities, it’s important to reflect on the past and attend to the future
