Competition
People who are especially talented in the Competition theme measure their
progress against the performance of others. They strive to win first place and be on top.
I've noticed this theme come into play when striving to make good grades. I always want to do better than the average, and this theme motivates me to do just that. Through my competitive nature, I have always had the drive to want to do more than what was expected of me.
Significance
People who are especially talented in the Significance theme want to be very
important in the eyes of others. They are independent and want to be recognized.
I've noticed this theme come into play when I accomplish something. I believe this stems from my childhood. As a kid, my achievements were always acknowledged by my family (sometimes in a form of a reward), so I naturally grew to believe that being recognized is of importance. As of today, I still put my achievements in my family groupchat, having the support and love from them feels good. I feel supported and ultimately appreciated. As a leader, I constantly recognize the achievements of the members in my organizations.
Focus
People who are especially talented in the Focus theme can take a direction, follow-through, and make the corrections necessary to stay on track. They prioritize, then act.
I've noticed this theme come into play when I am prioritizing which assignments to do. Usually, when I have a busy week ahead, I plan my days out. I plan out my assignments, my organizational events I have to attend, and what days I have to work. This is written out in a form of a calendar and checklist. This method keeps me sane and organized. Also, I see this theme play out when I am given project instructions. I am really good at following and executing.
Achiever
People who are especially talented in the Achiever theme have a great deal of stamina and work hard. They take great satisfaction from being busy and productive.
I've noticed this theme come into play when I decide to do something new. My days are usually filled with classes, a work shift, and organizational events. There are times where I attend two events in one day, both right behind each other. In fact, I have classes that are 15 minutes apart. I get a high off being busy. It's so fun and I feel so productive. Overall, this theme goes hand and hand with my other themes, competition, and significance.
Woo
People who are especially talented in the Woo theme love the challenge of meeting new people and winning them over. They derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection with another person
I see this theme come into play whenever I am in a group setting. I am always the first to talk and start a conversation, especially during awkward moments. I love meeting and interacting with new people. This theme is all about taking initiative and risk. With this theme comes the possibility of feeling rejected, however, this ultimately builds up my confidence.
